I purchased my horse Noah, an LER bred Canadian Sport Horse (LER JUNO) from a riding barn outside of Ottawa. I looked long and hard for a partner and not a project horse. A horse that was calm and level- headed, but not so “whoa” that there was no challenge. After speaking to the barn owner and reviewing the videos taken of him, I had him vetted by an older equine vet, one who has seen it all. He called me and told me that Noah was not only a well built horse, but a solid citizen and suited for my purpose, dressage. He also added that he was well-mannered and a pleasure to vet- he was almost gushing in his description.
Noah has been my partner for almost 3 years now. I can’t say enough about the way he is built, his personality and his brain. When I picked him up, he did not look at me as much as he looked through me- he got that I was his new human, and he was very expressive with me right from the beginning, trying to figure me out and trying to please. Breeding quality TB studs to draft cross mares is a great way to get a horse suited to the ambitious rider and adult amateur alike. I see from Linwood’s website that they advertise breeding level headed riding horses, and I wholeheartedly agree with this description. When it comes time to think about bringing my next partner along, I will go directly to the source! Thank you Linwood Equine Ranch for Noah.
