Looking for color?

We have proudly raised SNOWMAN at Linwood - due to his color and past experience with his pedigree. We have owned his dam, granddam and his sire and we have been very happy with all of their offspring. These parents and grandparents have each produced good bodied, athletic foals with good minds. When Snowman was born with homozygous color genetics (2 copies of the Cream gene - Ee, AA, CrCr) and good conformation, we decided to keep him! Snowman has produced some colorful AQHA & APHA foals that are sensible and easy to work!

We are proud to present a son of our reference sire, ZIPPOS DRIFTING STAR (“Zippo”). Zippo started with us in the 2011 breeding season and produced many good-minded foals with good necks and great athleticism, so we decided to keep a son for our breeding program! ZIPPOS DRIFTING STAR was by STAR OF TRADITION and out of POCOS DRIFTER LADY, a great granddaughter of one of the most prolific pleasure horse sires in history, ZIPPO PINE BAR (AQHA Hall of Famer, lifetime earnings of 112 performance points, 33 halter points, 7 grand champion titles, 19 reserve champion titles, sire of 1,651 registered offspring including 10 AQHA Champions, 15 World Champions, 27 Reserve World Champions and 727 point earners). POCOS DRIFTER LADY also traces back to DRIFTWOOD and TWO EYED JACK (All-time Leading Sire of 119 AQHA Champions, 16 AQHA World Show Champions, 242 ROM earners, and 3 AQHA Supreme Champions, #4 in Western Horseman’s Top Ten Ranch Horse Bloodlines). Snowman’s grandsire, STAR OF TRADITION, was by NOBLE TRADITION (4x AQHA World Champion, World Champion Sire).

On the bottom, Snowman’s dam, BLONDIES PINE WOOD traces back through BRADYWOOD multiple times to both DRIFTWOOD (AQHA Hall of Famer, #5 on Western Horseman’s Top Ten Ranch Horse Bloodlines) and POCO BUENO (AQHA Hall of Famer, sire of 222 performers, 36 AQHA champions). RED POCO PANDLE’s lineage also includes solid foundation quarter horses, KING (P-234), WIMPY, POCO BUENO and BLACKBURN (born in 1927, NCHA lifetime earnings of $1660, #5 All-Time leading broodmare sire of AQHA Champions).

Snowman is 5 panel N/N, Perlino with a color panel of (Ee, AA, CrCr) - he is a good-looking stallion with exceptional temperament. His first offspring were born in 2019 and already look stellar! Snowman is from ranch-type bloodlines; he will produce foals with good feet, lots of bone, and great disposition. The bonus is that his foals all carry the cream gene, so color is on order! His solid foals will all be eligible for ABRA registration in addition to their AQHA, ApHC or APHA registry. We believe Snowman has produced excellent quality horses capable of suiting the needs of many horse enthusiasts.
